AP means arithmetic progression here each successive terms have a common difference  Like 2,4,6,8 Here common difference=t2-t1=4-2=2  GP is geometric progression  Here each successive terms differ by a common ratio Like 2,4,8,16,32 Here common ratio r=t2/to=4/2=2  HP is harmonic  progression  It is when the denominator is in AP and numerator is constant Like 1,1/2,1/3,1/4
