what's the difference between a diary entry and a journal

Although a diary entry and a journal are synonyms to each other, they have one major difference between them.

⭐DIARY ENTRY- a diary entry contains a lot of personal things which cannot be shared with others usually. It contains emotions, feelings, guilt, forgiveness etc.

⭐JOURNAL- Now, when it comes to a journal, a journal contains the experience, sacrifice, adventures of one. It is usually not so private and can be shared with others.
