What's the difference between second and third person in literature?

Second person means one we are talking with.

Third person means one we are talking about.

Second person is the person you are talking to

and third person is the person you are talking about.

Eg. Tanya you should see Cheeku's new haircut.

Tanya is 2nd person

Cheeku is 3rd person
