What's the meaning of the lines :

The meaning of the line

""A BAD EXCUSE IS BETTER THAN NONE ""

means that do not make a bad excuse i.e., a worse excuse . instead of that don't make a excuse.

If you make unwanted excuse then there is a good chance of you in getting into a trouble but if you make no excuse a just accept it then your chance of getting into a trouble are reduced.
