In these lines Caesar actually is scolding his wife Calpurnia for telling Decius Brutus to inform the senators Caesar's decision of not attending the proceedings at the Capitol. She asks Brutus to tell the senators Caesar is sick. Hearing this Caesar gets angry. He reminds Calpurnia and Decius Brutus that he has won so many wars against the mightiest of kings and generals. He does not want to give any excuse for his decision to stay back at home. He just instructs Decius Brutus to tell the senators that Caesar has decided not to attend the senate. He feels he is too powerful and important to give anyone any explanation for his decisions.
