Given :
Six resistors are connected as shown in the figure.
To Find :
Equivalent resistance between A and B.
Solution :
A] Equivalent resistance of series :
- R = R₁ + R₂ + ... + Rₙ
B] Equivalent resistance of parallel :
- 1/R = 1/R₁ + 1/R₂ + ... + 1/Rₙ
Let's solve this problem step by step! :)
In the right part, Three resistors of 20Ω, 10Ω and 20Ω are connected in series.
Therefore their equivalent resistance will be 20 + 10 + 20 = 50Ω
After solving it, Two resistors of 50Ω and 30Ω come in parallel.
Their equivalent resistance will be,
➝ (50 × 30) / (50 + 30)
➝ 1500/80
➝ 18.75 Ω
Finally, Three resistors of 10Ω, 18.75Ω and 10Ω come in series
So final equivalent resistance of the circuit will be
➝ Req = 10 + 18.75 + 10
➝ Req = 38.75 Ω
