" The theme of the novel, Wings of Fire, by APJ Abdul Kalam is the saga of a middle-class boatman’s son to being the missile man and President of India, a unique achievement. It’s an autobiography of Kalam, a narrative in his own words, narrates the travel of his journey from his small hometown in Ramanathapuram to being the President of India.

Kalam, being a pious man, strongly believed that there is a divine fire in each of us provided by the god and we must put in our sincere efforts to add wings to that divine fire. He told that it was the Lord who showered him with the best teachers and mentors who made him achieve everything.

He also describes the evolution, growth, and struggles of space research, science and technology in India. The novel provides great inspiration and proves that anyone can reach great levels with sincere hard work, perseverance, and the deep fire to achieve."
