Hello !!

We have the knowlegde that the charge of a electron negative [ charge (-) ] and we also know that a negative number multiplied by a negative number the result is a positive number. With this information, we have the conclusion that the result of the square of the charge of a electron is [ charge (+) ].

Now, we make the calculation of charge of a electron multiplied for interself.

Q = -e = -1.6 × 10^(-19)

[-1.6 × 10^(-19)] × [-1.6 × 10^(-19)] = 2.56 × 10^(-38)

...

[ Charge (-) ] × [ Charge (-) ] = Charge (+)

Final result : 2.56 × 10^(-38) [charge (+) ]

I hope I have collaborated !

Answer:

Since the value of the elementary charge is roughly 1.602 x 10-19 coulombs (C), then the charge of the electron is -1.602 x 10-19 C.
