Proportion will look like, a/b = c/d,
let us assume the number which we have to add be x
According to the question,
(15+x)/(23+x) = (29+x)/(44+x),
cross multiply,
(15+x)*(44+x) = (29+x)*(23+x),
simplify them,
660 + 59x + x² = 667 + 52x + x²,
=> 7x = 7
=> x = 1
therefore the number that would be added = 1 !
