the answer is 11 cm because of the property of the triangle that sum of 2 sides is always greater than the third side in case we choose 5cm as our third side
5+5 > 11.....which is false
so 11 is the right answer

☆heya your answer is here☆

An Isosceles triangle is a triangle which has at least two equal sides. This means that the angles corresponding to two equal sides are also equal.

Now, in the given question;
Length of one side = 5 cm
Length of the other side = 11 cm

We need to find the length of the third side.

Now the length of the third side can either be 5 cm or 11 cm depending upon the measures of angle given. The sides opposite to equal angles  are equal. Thus if the angles opposite to the side of length 5 cm and the third side are equal, then the measure of the third side is 5 cm

Similarly, if the angles opposite to the side of length 11 cm and the third side are equal, then the measure of the third side is 11 cm
