The opening or introduction, is an important criteria to the success of the presentation.

The following can be done at the opening of the presentation, to capture the attention of the audiences.

1.Pose a thought-provoking question.

2.Share a related quotation. It will be better if the quotatiion is understandable and funny.

3.Tell a related joke or story. The audience can then be asked to deduct the title of the presentation.

4.State evidence that supports a claim. This will also keep the audience occupied.

Dont do's

1.Name the topic of the presentaion. This will make the audience less interested if the content is already known.

2.Summarize the main points. Summarize only towards the end of the presentation.
