Let x be the number added to 3.07 to get 3.5

Therefore, now According to the question :-

 \implies3.07 + x = 3.5

Now , we will bring 3.07 to right hand side. Therefore it's sign will change from positive to negative :-

\implies \: x = 3.5 - 3.07

From the above expression it is clear that difference of 3.5 and 3.07 is the value of x.

\implies \: x =0.43

Therefore , we get x = 0.43

Answer :

0.43 must be the number added to 3.07 to get 3.5.

Verification of the Answer :-

To verify the answer , we will find sum of 0.43 and 3.07. If we get sum as 3.5 then our answer is correct.
