It should be added by  \frac{ - 1}{4}

Explanation :-

Let the number be 'x'

then,

x +  (\frac{ - 3}{4} ) =  - 1

x =  - 1 +  \frac{3}{4}

By taking L.c.M

x =  \frac{ - 4}{4}  +  \frac{3}{4}

x =  - 1/4

Answer:

-1/4

Step-by-step explanation:

x + (-3/4) = -1

x - 3/4 = -1

x = -1 + 3/4

= -4/4 + 3/4
