Let the number be 'x'.

So,According to question

 \implies \tt \: x + (  \frac{ - 3}{5} ) =  \frac{ - 1}{3}

 \implies \tt \: x -  \frac{ 3}{5}  =  \frac{ - 1}{3}

 \implies \tt \: x  =  \frac{ - 1}{3} + \frac{ 3}{5}

 \implies \tt \: x  =  \frac{ - 5 + 9}{15}

 \implies \tt \: x  =  \frac{4}{15}

Verification:-

 \implies \tt \: x + (  \frac{ - 3}{5} ) =  \frac{ - 1}{3}

  • Put x = 4/15

 \implies \tt \:  \frac{4}{15}  -  \frac{3}{5}  =  \frac{ - 1}{3}

 \implies \tt \:  \frac{4 - 9}{15}  =  \frac{ - 1}{3}

 \implies \tt \frac{ - 5}{15}  =  \frac{ - 1}{3}

 \implies \tt \frac{ - 1}{3}  =  \frac{ - 1}{3}

Thus x = 4/15
