Let take the no. be x

The first no. is 7/12

The sum of 7/12 and x is -4/15

So,

7/12+x=-4/15

= x=-4/15-7/12

= x=(-4*4)-(7*5)/60

= x=-16-35/60

= x=-51/60

x=-51/60= -17/20

Thus,the no. is -17/20

Answer:

-83/60

Step-by-step explanation:

let the unknown no. be x

7/12 + x = -4/5

x = - 4/5 - 7/12                       (find lCM of 5 and 12)

x = (- 4*12/5*12) - (7*5/12*5)    (LCM = 60)

x = - 48/60 - 35/60

x = - 83/60
