Let the number be x

x +  \frac{7}{12}  =  -  \frac{4}{15}  \\ x =  -  \frac{4}{15}  -  \frac{7}{12}  \\ x =  \frac{ - 16 - 35}{60}  \\ x =  -  \frac{51}{60}
so -51/60 Should be added

Heyaa user!!!

Let the number be x.

 \frac{7}{12} + x = \frac{ - 4}{15}

x = \frac{ - 4}{15} - \frac{7}{12}

x = \frac{ - 16 - 35}{60}

x = \frac{ - 51}{60}

Or

0.85

So, the number is 0.85 or -51/60

Hope it helps u
