uknaresh1234radhe: salt is a catalyst which makes reactions slower or faster so catalyst does not start reaction so by adding salt u cannot melt ice u have mix some water of higher temperatures or heat it

Impurites like minerals gases etc. raise a substance's boiling, melting, freezing, sublimating abd condensating point. So addind impurites in ice will help increase its melting point
