Given - Digits to be taken for sum - 3/7 and thrice of -6/7
Find - Number needed to be added to sum, to obtain result 17/13.
Solution - Numbers to be taken for sum -
- 3/7 = 0.42
- thrice of -0.86 = -2.57
Sum of these digits -
0.42 + (-2.57)
-2.14
Now, let the number to be added to sum be X.
17/13 = 1.3
Thus, new equation will be -
-2.14 + X = 1.3
X = 3.45
Hence, number to be added will be - 3.45
