Let the number be x
As per given
x+2×-7/5=3/7
x-14/5=3/7
x=3/7+14/5
x=(15+98)/35
x=113/35
therefore the number is 113/35

Answer:

x = 107/21

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number added to the rational numbers be x

According to the question,

x + 2 (- 7/3) = 3/7,

x + (-14/3) = 3/7

x = (3/7) + (14/3) ( on switching number from one side of the equation to the other side)

Take LCM of (7,3) = 21

x =  (3 * 3 + 14 * 7)/21

x = (9 + 98)/21

x = 107/21

107/21 should be added to the twice of the given rational number to get the result.
