Let the number to be abducted be x

3(-8/3) - x = 5/2
-8 - x = 5/2
x = -8 - 5/2
x = -8 - 2.5
x = -10.5

Hope this helps... plsss make it the brainliest

let the number subtracted be y
according to the question,
3(-8/3)-y=5/2
=>-8-y=5/2
=>-16-2y=5
=>-2y=21
=>y= -21/2=-10.5
-10.5 needs to be subtracted.
