question is : what should be subtract from 5/2 to get 7/12
solution:-
let the number which is to be subtracted : x
according to the question ;
5/2 - x = 7/12
=> -x = 7/12 - 5/2
=> x = 5/2 -7/12
=> x = ( 30-7) / 12 ....taking LCM
=> x = 23/12 answer
