Solution

Given : Minuend = 2a + 8b + 10

Difference : - 3a + 7b + 16

To find : Subtrahend

Accordind to the question

Minuend - Subtrahend = Difference

2a + 8b + 10 - ( Subtrahend) = - 3a + 7b + 16

=> Subtrahend = 3a + 7b + 16 - ( 2a + 8b + 10)

Arrange the terms

=> Subtrahend = -3a - 2a + 7b - 8b + 16 - 10

 \large=> Subtrahend = 5a - b + 6
