Heya !!

Let X should be subtracted form 3/5 to get 1/5.

Therefore,

3/5 - X = 1/5

3 - 5X = 1/5
---------
5

=> 3 - 5X = 5 /5

=> 3 - 5X = 1

=> -5X = 1 - 3

=> -5X = -2

=> X = -2/-5

=> X = 2/5.

Verification :-

Subtracting 2/5 from 3/5.

=> 3/5 - 2/5

=> ( 3 - 2 ) / 5

=> 1/5.

Hence,

2/5 should be subtracted form 3/5 to get 1/5.
