Let the required number be x

According to the question,the equation would be something like this:

 \sf{ \frac{5}{14} +  \frac{3}{7} - x =  \frac{1}{5}   } \\

Taking LCM on the left hand side,

\implies \:  \sf{ \frac{11 - 14x}{14}  =  \frac{1}{5} } \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf{ \frac{ - 14x}{14}  =  \frac{1}{5} -  \frac{11}{14}  } \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf{ - x =  \frac{14 - 55}{70} } \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf{x =  \frac{41}{70} }
