What should be subtracted from twice the rational number -8/3 get 5/2?

hi friend!!

Let the number be x

according to the question,

2(-8/3) - x = 5/2

-16/3 - x = 5/2

x = -16/3 - 5/2

x = -16/3×2/2 - 5/2×3/3

x = -32/6 - 15/6

x = (-32-15)/6

x = -47/6

therefore, -47/6 should be subtracted from twice the rational number -8/3 get 5/2.
