The pH of water for fish rearing should be below 7.

The survival and growth rate of fish were affected by water dissolved oxygen and pH levels. In 1 acre, 800 -100 kg fine ground calcium carbonate dissolved in water should put in pond.In new and old ponds, keep water level at 5-6 feet  throughout the year.
