What should be the pressure inside a small air bubble of 0.1mm radius situated just below the water surface. Surface tension of water is 7.2*10^-2 and atmospheric pressure is 1.013*10^5 N/m

Tw=7.2*10^-2 N/m

Atomspheric pressure

P atm =1.013*10^5 N/m

Radius of bubble R=0.1 mm

= 0.1*10^-3m = 1*10^-4m

Pressure=P atm +2T/R

P= 1.013*10^5+2(7.2*10^-2)/1*10^-4

P= 1.013*10^5+14.4*10^-2*10^4

P= 1.013*10^5+144

P= 1.014*10^5+0.0144*10^5

P=1.0144*10^5N/m^2
