\bf\huge\textbf{\underline{\underline{According\:to\:the\:Question}}}

Suppose m be added to the polynomial.

Equation is p(x) = x^2 - 5x + (4 + m).

p(3) = 0

p(3) ⇒ (3)^2 - 5(3) + (4 + m) = 0

⇒ 9 - 15 + 4 + m = 0

⇒ - 6 + 4 + m = 0

 ⇒ -2 + m = 0

⇒ m = 2.

Number to be added to the polynomial is 2.
