Hi, please consider the answer given below;

The special skill enabled Squanto to maintain peaceful relations between the English settlers and the American Indians was that he hunted wild animals and provided food for the settlers.

It is also worth noting that the settlers lacked men as well as the supplies required against Squanto.

Squanto was the last living member of Patuxet tribe of Cape Cod Bay in North America, who worked for making peaceful relationship between the English settlers and the Native American Indians.

His skill of English communication helped him in this purpose, which he acquired while he was kidnapped and sold in Spain by Thomas Hunt, an English explorer.

When the English ship Mayflower landed in American coast in 1620, he worked as a guide, translator and advisor to the English Pilgrims till 1621.
