Petroleum Conservation Research Association, PCRA is a government organization which works for promoting energy efficiency in various sectors of the economy. It has been engaged in generating mass awareness of masses for judicious use of petroleum products.

1. It suggests that people should turn off car engines at traffic signals and drive at speeds of 45 - 50 km/ h to reduce their use of petroleum products.

2. It has taken up an awareness campaign titled 'Save Fuel Yaani Save Money', which is broadcasted on TV, radio, and in newspapers. Yaani, a piggy bank, is the mascot for the campaign. The campaign was taken to the India International Trade Fair - 2009 where the PCRA stall featured interactive games and quizzes to promote energy efficiency.
