what steps can be taken up to control air pollution and water pollution

For air pollution
1) We must fit filter in chimneys of factory
2) We should not use LPG
3)We should not burn Everything because there are some degradable substances are also there

For water pollution
1) We must not through things which are made up of chemical into water bodies such and band aid , medicine etc
2)we should not through dead animals and humans into water bodies
3) Water coming from factories should not be thrown into water bodies.
