General Chattar Singh Attariwalla political prominence was increased in 1843 after the end of Sher Singh and he was also a governor of the hazara province in the year 1848.

He take several steps taken against the Britishers and he was against the James Abbott who was appointed as the British Deputy Commissioner at that time. He saved the Hazara province from the Abbott’s Muhammadan mercenaries.
