The steps were:
1) he harassed the oppositon party members and their meetings were disrupted.
2)Public protests and demonstartions against the governemnt were declared illegal.
3)There is also a law that limits the right to criticise the president.
4)The televisions and the radios were controlled by the ruling government. Telecasted only the ruling party's version.
5) The journalist's who tried to go against  the government were harrased.

2) Opposition party workers harassed and their meetings were disrupted.

3) Protests by public and demonstration were declared illegal.

4) He made the laws to limit the right to criticize to the president.

5) The media to has been forced to write and speak in favour of the ruling party. Independent newspaper and journalist were harassed when write against the president.
