Answer:

Plans to form

the Indian Constitution were made several decades before India won its freedom

from the British rule in 1947.

The Constituent

Assembly had various meetings with the public for close to three years. There

were a lot of discussions and debates regarding this in the Assembly. After

this, all the assembly members signed the document pertaining to the formation

of the Indian Constitution. There were two copies of the document – one in

Hindi and one in English. Both copies were signed by all the 308 members.

# All Indian

provinces and states were allotted seats in proportion to their population.

# In each

province, the seats were divided into Muslim, Sikh and general communities based

on the population in each category.

# Each member in

the Assembly could elect their own representatives using proportional

representations with only one transferable vote.

# Representatives from the Indian States were made through discussion and consultation.
