The astrologer would call out the customers and ask the details of their lives. They would speak for a few minutes before the astrologer would speak. This gave an idea about the lives of his customers. He even knew some problems related to marriage, money etc. He would then act as if he were a real astrologer and using the information that he got from the customers, he would tell their fortune.
One particular night, he saw a stranger passing by. He assumes that the stranger would be his next customer and called him to tell his fortune. The stranger mocked at him saying that he was fake and challenged him to predict whether he would be successful in a search that he was carrying out. If he was right, he would pay him double the fee.
The astrologer then realized that he was Guru Nayak, the person whom the astrologer once had stabbed and put in a well. The astrologer asked him whether he was stabbed and put in a well. He even called the stranger by his name and told him that the person who had stabbed him had died. Guru Nayak accepts his failure and pays double the fee to the astrologer.
