The young man told Gorstby that he had come to say in the Patagonian Hotel in Berkshire square and sent a letter to his family with the address. Then he noticed he forgot to bring soap with him. The young gentlemen hated using hotel soap , so he went out to get some soap. On the way he got a drink from the bar and realised that he did not even know which street was the hotel in! He could send his family a letter but it would not come until tomorrow . He had nowhere to go for the night.
