Each electron has a negative charge (-1) equal to the positive charge of a proton (+1).Neutrons are uncharged particles found within the nucleus.
Out of the three subatomic particles - protons, electrons and neutrons electrons are the smallest. Out of the three electron is the only fundamental particle protons and neutrons are made of other fundamental particles.
