As a sewer I would suggest my family member to not throw food directly into the sink because when these food particles pass through the sewer it may block the sewer system. I would like to suggest using filter system in all area of the house where there is passage for water to sewer system. If in case you dump the food in sink and filters are there you can pick it up and throw it in the dustbin and it can prevent the clogging of sewer system.
