Answer:

P= ?, R= 8%p.a., T= 5 yrs, P'= ?, R'= 10% p.a. , T'= 4 yrs

Now, P=P'

⇒(P×R×T)÷100=3600=(P'×R'×T')÷100                                             ------------(1)

From Eqⁿ (1)

⇒(P×R×T)÷100=3600

⇒P×8×5=360000

⇒P = 9000                                                               (dividing 360000 by 40)

Since P= P'

P=P'= rs. 9000
