Hey buddy
Sugar is absorbed and converted to blood sugar much faster than anything else.
Beans are complex carbohydrates and proteins that take longer to convert
beans would take a longer time because sugar is already in a simplified form and can be easily converted to glucose whereas beans contain proteins and therefore takes a longer time to digest.......hope its useful :)

sugars mainly contain starch and Beans contain proteins. thus, most of the digestion of sugar takes place in the mouth itself when it is mixed with saliva. but, for the digestion of the proteins present in beans a long process is carried out. hence, beans take longer time to digest than sugar
