Women living in states under the Nazi regime were subjected to doctrines of Nazism. Although they could not become a party executive or be a part of the Administrative Committee, they could still become party members.

Women were restricted in the academic and political fields and had to perform specific duties, of which the important ones were Cooking, Children, and Church.

1.       Procreation – Women were confined to playing the roles of a spouse and a mother, and to educate the children.

2.       Modesty – Wearing makeup was prohibited. Smoking was banned and social activities like music, manual labor were restricted.

3.       Abortion was a crime and death was the penalty for women who indulged in infanticide.

Women who followed the rules religiously were rewarded.

1.       According to the Law for the Encouragement of Marriage, the couple had to give birth to as many children as possible. When a woman gave birth to more than 8 children, she was awarded a gold medal.

2.       The woman was considered as the center of the family life and was expected to be healthy all the time and become slim.
