1] Do not run. Dogs chase people mostly when they are running because dogs think that you are a thief and running with money so they chase you.
2] Stay Calm. Staying calm will reduce the doubt in the dog's mind that you are a thief. If you get aggressive the dog may try to bite & fight you back.
3] Move backwards. Keep your face towards the dog and slowly move back. Make sure you don't make noise and stay calm. He will let you go mostly.
4] No Eye Contact. You may think that eye contact will reduce the dog's doubt but actually it will think that you are challenging him to a battle.
