Many Russian Noble Class people opposed the industrial revolution in Russia because they have a deep fear that Industrial revolution could bring damage to agriculture in Russia. Most of the Noble class people of Russia were certainly depended on agriculture for their economy.
Another reason for the noble class opposition on Industrial revolution is they feared that they might loss their power over the farmers who worked in their fields for wages.
