Areas with more MOISTURE CONTENT That is, HUMIDITY, mostly developed in HOT , HUMID TROPICAL AREAS frequently.

◆Storms with thunder , strong wind, lightning and heavy rain is thunderstorm.

◆Thunderstorms are developed in humid tropical areas as HEAT of tropical area warms the air , rise it up, leading to formation of CLOUDS.

◆Water vapour in cloud forms water droplets , friction between fast rising water droplets in the cloud produces opposite electric charges.That is ,top is positively charged and the bottom of cloud is negative.

◆When this becomes huge, electric current passes through the cloud and produces electric spark within the cloud, LIGHTNING.

When hot air expands explosively , this leads to a loud sound called THUNDER.
