Explanation:

Tea requires a moderately hot and humid climate. Climate influences yield, crop distribution and quality. Therefore, before cultivating tea in a new area, the suitability of the climate is the first point to be considered. Tea grows best on well-drained fertile acid soil on high lands.

Hey mate !

Question:-

What type of climate and soil does tea require for it's growth ?

Answer:-

The tea that we drink every morning, where does it come from ? It comes from the leaves of the tea plant. The newly fresh leaves plucked from it's plant are converted into powder and then we mix it with milk and various ingredients before drinking it.

However,in which conditions does the tea plant requires to grow ?

The tea requires the following :-

1. The tea requires a cool temperature like in Darjeeling,Himachal pradesh, etc; so that the leaves won't become dry and wilt due to heat.

2. Tea requires step farmimg (mountain/slope cut in the shape like stairs) because the roots of the tea plant are very sensitive and can't absorb water directly,so it requires light water that comes down slowly like stairs.

3. Tea requires deep loam soil or a well drained soil that don't collect water in a particular area and drains the water accordingly. Loamy soil is best as it contains water but not in a large amount.

4. Tea requires a little rainfall with a little bit humid climate to grow properly. It requires 2100 m above height from ground level to grow.

The above conditions should be kept in mind while growing tea.

hope it helps you.....
