In UI path, when we are not sure what kind of data we use, then we can use Generic type Variable.

It can store various types of data  such as numbers, text or string, array of values, dates, expressions, etc.,

So, in general, any type of data like Boolean expressions, String values, Arrays, Date/Time, Integer values can be stored in a Generic Variable.
