The enzymes present in human saliva is broadly grouped in three classes :-

• Digestive Enzymes - Salivary amylase and Lingual lipase

• Anti-microbial Enzymes: Lysozyme, kallikrein and peroxidase

• Other Enzymes: Carbonic anhydrase, ribonuclease, etc.
