  • Mineral oils – products of refining crude oil  
  • Fire-resistant fluids – there are 4 main types. HFAE, Type HFC, Type HFAB and Type HRAS.  
  • Water/oil emulsions – this is when the predominant substance (around 60%) in the oil.  
  • Water glycol - made up of 40% water and 60% glycol
  • Phosphate Esters
