o-cresol and m-cresol are both isomers of Methyl phenol.

Both of them have the Hydroxyl functional group in them

The IUPAC name of o-cresol is 2-Methylphenol and that of m-cresol is

3-Methylphenol, hence, the position of the methyl group is different, so they can be Position isomers.
