Here is your answer ⏬⏬

Q)What type of magnet is used in an electric bell?

A) ELECTROMAGNET MADE OF SOFT IRON IS USED IN AN ELECTRIC BELL.

REASON: AS SOON AS CURRENT STARTS FLOWING THROUGH THE MAGNET WHEN THE SWTICH IS SWITCHED ON IT MAGNETISES AND BELL STARTS RINGING.

WHEN THE SWITCH IS SWITCHED OFF CURRENT STOPS FLOWING AND THE BELL STOPS RINGING.

SOFT IRON IS PREFERRED OVER STEEL BECAUSE ON PASSAGE OF ELECTRIC CURRENT STEEL BECOMES PERMANENTLY MAGNETISED.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. ^_^
